About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Network Planning Engineer. This is a Full-Time, Contract position with a duration of 12 months and a possible extension. The role is located in Melbourne, FL. As a Network Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for previous Telecommunications, testing/troubleshooting and validation of service activations. You will need 2 years of prior WAN Telecommunications networks experience, experience with Ethernet and IP, and experience coordinating maintenance request activities. Knowledge of data protocols that include TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS is required. A previous technical writing background/skills in order to execute and document formal acceptance testing of FTI products and services per program requirements is also necessary. Prior experience with Sonet architecture and Cisco Design experience is preferred.

Requirements

2 years of prior WAN Telecommunications networks experience
Experience with Ethernet and IP
Knowledge of data protocols that include TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS
Previous technical writing background/skills
Prior experience with Sonet architecture
Cisco Design experience
AA/AS Degree with 4+ years’ experience (Willing to look at work experience in lieue of a degree)
BA/BS Degree with 4+ years’ experience
CCNA Certification or equivalent work experience a plus

Nice To Haves

MEF 2.0 certification and/or equivalent level experience
