About The Position

Public Health Solutions (PHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving health equity and addressing health-related social needs for underserved communities in New York City. PHS administers WholeYouNYC (WYNYC), a network connecting healthcare providers, health plans, and community-based organizations to address social drivers of health. WYNYC brings together over 100 organizations offering various programs across all five boroughs. Recently, PHS and the WYNYC network were awarded the role of regional Social Care Network (SCN) for Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens, supported by $500M in statewide funding. This internship focuses on supporting the Onboarding TTA team within the WholeYouNYC Social Care Network, with primary responsibilities in developing a centralized training data system and reviewing/improving learning materials for partner organizations. The intern will report to the Director, Network Performance, and collaborate with the Onboarding TTA Manager and Coordinators.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in or have completed coursework in public health, health systems & policy, or a related field.

  • Strong data management skills and comfort with spreadsheets, databases, or data tools.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in hybrid (virtual and in-person) settings.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and reconcile fragmented training data from multiple formats and sources into a single, centralized system.
  • Develop a structured data framework to support ongoing entry of new training records.
  • Build a dashboard or interface to surface key training metrics (e.g., completion rates, LMS transition rates, retraining status).
  • Validate and standardize historical training records to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Review training and learning documents developed for partner organizations.
  • Assess materials for clarity, accessibility, and minimal use of jargon.
  • Propose and document improvements to enhance material quality.
  • Contribute to the development of tools, resources, and onboarding materials.
  • Assist in coordinating and scheduling meetings and cross-team initiatives.
  • Support internal and external communications related to training and onboarding.
  • Prepare a brief analysis report identifying patterns in compliance and training model effectiveness.
