About The Position

The Role This role supports GMNA Inbound Logistics by managing day-to-day Domestic and Origin Distribution Center (ODC) Operations and helping protect plant schedules from disruptions. The position focuses on monitoring ODC and cross dock performance, resolving logistics cost responsibility for transportation and handling failures, and driving corrective actions with plants, carriers, and logistics providers. The role works closely with cross-functional partners in Logistics, plants, and providers to ensure issues are documented, investigated, and closed within defined timelines. Support daily ODC and cross dock operations to ensure freight and containers are handled safely and move on time to plants. Review and investigate logistics debit records in GM systems to determine root cause and cost responsibility. Engage plants, carriers, and logistics providers to gather shipment details and documentation for issue resolution. Assign final responsibility for debits in the system and maintain clear, auditable records of decisions. Support resolution when multiple parties are involved (e.g., cross dock and carrier) and help align on the final outcome. Participate in recurring reviews and ad-hoc calls to discuss debit trends, open issues, and corrective actions. Contribute to crisis and contingency activities tied to inbound or ODC disruptions by helping coordinate actions and capture costs. Maintain and update logistics work instructions and process documentation related to debit handling and ODC operations. Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects to support Domestic and ODC Operations priorities.
