About The Position

As a network systems integration engineer within the NC3 engineering group, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for integrating state of the art network and security devices into critical mission systems in support of our nation's strategic deterrence mission. This role involves performing lab-based configuration of network equipment, designing, developing, and implementing complex systems with a focus on networking and MBSE tools, and identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses, particularly in networked environments. The engineer will also develop system security documentation, provide system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support, and utilize MBSE tools to model, simulate, and analyze system designs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure robust, scalable, and secure architectures. Research and analysis of vendor products, COTS components, and specifications are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards.
Strong understanding and application of systems engineering principles, concepts, and theories.
Solid understanding of network design principles, theories, best practices, and concepts.
Advanced diagnostic techniques to identify and resolve connectivity issues across complex network architectures.
Expertise in configuring switches, routers, and firewalls to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
Proficiency in MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or similar).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly report information relevant to sound systems engineering design.
Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle complex assignments efficiently.
Awareness of business objectives and the role of engineering in achieving these goals.
Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions effectively.
