About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Network Installer to support the FAA’s Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) program and maintain and enhance network infrastructure supporting mission-critical aviation systems. The role helps ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IP-based networks used for air traffic operations. The position requires 100% local travel to FAA facilities within the assigned region. Candidates must live in or near Peachtree City, Georgia, and travel regularly to multiple FAA sites as business needs require.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination: master’s degree with 6+ years, associate degree with 10+ years, or high school diploma with 12+ years.
Proven experience managing and supporting enterprise network environments.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking technologies.
Experience with TDM-to-IP migrations and modern IP-based networking.
Understanding of SD-WAN, fiber optics, and wireless LAN/WAN technologies.
Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Nagios.
Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and schematics.
Experience with fiber-testing tools such as OTDR.
Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills.
Must reside in or near Peachtree City, GA, and be able to travel regularly to multiple FAA sites in the assigned region.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting FAA or National Airspace System (NAS) environments.
Knowledge of federal network standards, compliance, and security frameworks.
Background supporting FAA, DOT, DHS, or DoD programs.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, or BICSI.
Familiarity with FAA NextGen or air traffic control modernization initiatives.
Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or transformation programs.

Responsibilities

Ensure the uptime, performance, and security of FAA network infrastructure.
Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
Support SD-WAN solutions across distributed environments.
Install, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode fiber-optic cabling.
Perform fiber testing using OTDR and certification tools.
Monitor systems daily, analyze logs, and respond to incidents.
Troubleshoot issues across fiber, SD-WAN, and IP layers, escalating as needed.
Support network cutovers, migrations, and failover validation.
Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and configuration records.
