About The Position

The Network Installation Technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting various IT systems including Local Area Networks (LAN), wireless networks, VoIP systems, IP Public Address / Intercom systems, and IP Video Camera systems. This role involves configuring a variety of networking equipment, analyzing and solving networking problems, and reviewing IT system designs for compliance with industry standards. The technician will also conduct site surveys, prepare design/Scope of Work (SOW) documents, and create clear technical documentation. Additional duties include managing equipment deliveries, creating asset workbooks, generating status reports, rearranging network equipment, and installing power equipment. The position offers flexible work from home options.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience installing and configuring low voltage IT systems
  • At least 1 year of experience in Genetec Security Center 5.11 or newer
  • At least 1 year of experience in Cisco or HP Enterprise Network Configuration
  • At least 1 year of experience in Cisco and Aruba Local Wireless Controller
  • At least 1 year of experience in Cisco VoIP and CUCM
  • At least 1 year of experience in Valcom IP Public Address
  • At least 1 year of experience in DMP (Digital Monitoring Products)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
