About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting on-site network deployment activities, working closely with both field teams and remote engineering resources to ensure successful installation, configuration, and validation of network systems.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in TCP/IP networking, including troubleshooting and network protocol analysis
  • Experience administering and configuring DHCP and DNS services
  • Familiarity with wireless networking fundamentals and basic deployment concepts
  • Comfortable working in Linux-based environments, including command-line operations
  • Hands-on experience with CLI-based configuration on Cisco, HPE, or comparable networking platforms
  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, Perl, or similar) to assist with automation and troubleshooting tasks
  • Proven ability to approach technical issues using structured and methodical problem-solving techniques
  • Experience using network diagnostic and analysis tools such as packet capture utilities, network probes, site survey tools, and spectrum analyzers
  • Ability to operate effectively in a remote/virtual team environment while following direction from distributed team members
  • Strong documentation skills, including the ability to follow, improve, and develop technical documentation and procedures
  • Experience executing and contributing to detailed testing strategies and validation processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track deliverables, and meet deadlines
  • Effective communicator with the ability to interact professionally with both technical teams and end users
  • Willingness to participate in on-call support rotations as needed

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with on-site construction and cabling teams to install and connect network infrastructure as new cabling is deployed
  • Partner with remote engineering teams to configure and bring network devices online
  • Maintain accurate “as-built” documentation, ensuring configurations and installations are properly recorded and validated against project checklists
  • Execute structured testing procedures to confirm system configurations and performance meet requirements
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving network and system issues as they arise
  • Provide status updates during recurring project meetings and contribute to progress tracking
  • Coordinate and plan fiber and copper connectivity between MDF and IDF locations
  • Support warehouse or industrial network environments (preferred experience)
