We are looking for self-motivated individuals to join our Team of Network Infrastructure Installation Technicians. Active DoW Secret clearance or higher is required.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance or higher
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Direct related experience (cabling, construction trades).
  • Proven experience as a fiber optic specialist, BICSI Installer/Technician certification a plus.
  • Must be able to work safely following the company's policy/procedures on safety.
  • Conduct network configuration and be able to perform network troubleshooting.
  • Previous duties as team lead
  • Must be capable of physical activity, including maneuvering around the building, including comms closets, prolonged standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting of 50lbs +.

Nice To Haves

  • Security+ preferred but not required
  • Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment are a plus

Responsibilities

  • CAT 6 and Fiber Optic structured cable distribution system installation.
  • Ability to terminate all forms of Ethernet and fiber by various methods, familiarity with connector types and manufacturers, experience testing single-mode and multi-mode fiber installations, experience with Fluke and OTDR testing and fiber optic troubleshooting, pulling cable, fire stopping, dressing cables, and labeling to industry standards.
  • Experience with Fiber Characterization testing and resolution
  • Installing, terminating, and testing all forms of copper and fiber cabling.
  • Installing closet hardware, including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels, and fiber enclosures.
  • Attending training and safety meetings, and working safely at all times
  • Familiarity with DISA installation procedures and operational guidelines (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, Centrix).
