About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to support our Colorado Springs, CO location. We are looking for a mid career level Network Infrastructure Engineer. Duties: Administer and maintain enterprise network infrastructure environments Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, VPN technologies, and associated network devices Support VLAN configuration, routing, switching, and enterprise connectivity requirements Troubleshoot network, firewall, VPN, and connectivity-related issues Support VMware-connected networking requirements within virtual environments Assist with cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure support activities Support cybersecurity hardening and compliance activities including STIG implementation Develop and maintain network documentation and operational procedures Participate in infrastructure modernization, implementation, and sustainment activities Support additional infrastructure technologies and specialties as mission requirements evolve

Requirements

  • Experience supporting enterprise networking environments
  • Experience with routing, switching, VLANs, and network troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with firewall and VPN technologies
  • Familiarity with VMware virtual networking concepts
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active TS/SCI clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco, Palo Alto, or other enterprise networking certifications
  • Experience supporting VMware environments
  • Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS networking concepts
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, or automation concepts
  • Experience supporting Linux and Windows server environments
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal enterprise environments

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain enterprise network infrastructure environments
