About The Position

A leading infrastructure and energy organization is seeking a Network Implementation Specialist to support large-scale network deployments across critical infrastructure environments. This organization plays a key role in powering and enabling some of Wisconsin’s current and next-generation data centers, supporting the growth of advanced digital infrastructure across the region. This is a hands-on, field-focused role where you will take standardized network designs and bring them to life across substations, industrial facilities, and distributed environments. You will be directly involved in implementing and stabilizing network infrastructure that supports mission-critical operations. This is not a design-heavy engineering position—success in this role comes from execution, troubleshooting, and real-world deployment experience.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN networking concepts
  • Experience deploying network infrastructure in field or industrial environments
  • Troubleshooting experience across network and telecom systems
  • Familiarity with VLANs, DHCP, and network configuration standards

Responsibilities

  • Execute deployment of standardized network designs across field and facility environments
  • Install, configure, and validate routers, switches, and network hardware
  • Translate logical network diagrams into physical infrastructure builds
  • Support network turn-up, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Participate in site walk-downs, field validation, and coordination with construction teams
  • Review construction prints and network diagrams to ensure alignment with installation
  • Support contractors and vendors during deployment activities
  • Assist with site readiness, device placement, and communication validation
  • Apply standardized configuration templates for device setup and port assignments
  • Support integration of new infrastructure into existing (brownfield) environments
  • Validate connectivity across LAN, WAN, and field communication networks
  • Diagnose and resolve issues during deployment, including: Configuration errors, Hardware installation issues, Telecom/circuit connectivity challenges
  • Perform network testing to ensure operational readiness
  • Support issue resolution during commissioning and site acceptance
  • Maintain detailed documentation including: Deployment records, Configuration details, Site-specific implementation data
  • Ensure installations meet quality standards and compliance requirements
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve deployment processes
