Maintains the technical performance of network systems supporting the enterprise, which includes hospitals, medical office buildings, physician practices, administrative and financial offices, and all support facilities. Monitors system performance and takes appropriate action to ensure the best performance and utilization of network resources. Participates in localized problem determination and resolution. Seeks guidance from senior staff or escalates appropriately. Supports the networking systems, working with multiple IS departments and vendors to provide stable and reliable network connectivity. Demonstrates basic knowledge of the network infrastructure for which they provide administration. Implement routine risk network changes and design network solutions (switches, routers, and system hardware) with guidance from senior engineers while following established designs and configurations previously developed. Works in both in a team setting and independently, accepting instruction and leadership from fellow team members. Works well under pressure, able to multi-task. Follows defined protocols for working with customers. Resolves help desk tickets and network problems. Tracks and trends issues and drives resolution. Understands and follows change management processes. Physically and logically install components (routers, switches, physical cabling, UPS, etc ) into a single unified network under the direction of more experienced network engineers. Assists in less complex projects to define network infrastructure requirements and recommendations for appropriate solutions. Participates in determining hardware, software, and administrative standards and procedures.
