About The Position

Saalex is seeking a Network Engineering Technician IV in Corona, CA. Saalex is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services. The selected candidate will independently perform complex technical assignments supporting the design, deployment, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of network systems. This position requires hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment, IP camera systems, video transport technologies, and DoD cybersecurity compliance requirements.

Requirements

Demonstrated networking expertise with routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, and Cisco infrastructure.
Working knowledge of IP camera systems, video transport, and H.264/H.265 encoding and decoding protocols.
Experience implementing and auditing DISA STIG requirements and maintaining secure network boundaries.
Understanding of network packets, firewalls, ACLs, and cybersecurity best practices.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently resolve complex network and hardware issues.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Willingness and physical ability to travel to and work at field ranges as required.
AA/AS degree in Information Technology, Networking, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field; or equivalent technical training.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant network engineering technician experience.
In lieu of education, 10 years of directly related experience may be substituted.
U.S. Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

CCNA or higher certification.
CompTIA Security+.
Navy or DoD test and evaluation experience.
Network monitoring and video distribution experience.
Active Secret Clearance preferred. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design, deployment, and optimization of network infrastructure.
Configure and manage routing and switching equipment, primarily Cisco routers and switches.
Proactively identify, isolate, and resolve complex network connectivity, routing, switching, and communications issues in both garrison and field environments.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot IP cameras and associated video streaming network infrastructure.
Support H.264 and H.265 video transport technologies.
Ensure network devices and configurations adhere to DISA STIG requirements and Department of Defense security mandates.
Travel to test ranges to install equipment, conduct site surveys, and provide hands-on technical support during testing and operations.
Provide technical guidance, documentation support, and coordination with engineers, technicians, and government stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned or required.
