About The Position

SAIC is seeking a TACNET CB-ISEA Network Engineer (Fleet Support) to join our team in San Diego, CA. This Hybrid/Remote position requires frequent and regular onsite support aboard U.S. Navy ships. The engineer will work directly with Active Duty personnel and government staff to deliver high-quality repair and technical support for Navy afloat networks. Travel within the U.S. and internationally may be required (approx. 25%), along with occasional after-hours support. Requirements

• Must be local to San Diego, CA.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% throughout the year.
• Must be able to travel within the U.S. and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely patching and remediation of cybersecurity vulnerabilities to ensure the integrity and resilience of Navy afloat network systems.
• Provide break/fix IT support in a fast-paced shipboard environment and troubleshoot LAN issues to determine effective resolutions.
• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend permanent configuration or system changes when needed.
• Deliver server and network break/fix support, including remote troubleshooting of servers, networks, desktops, and peripheral devices.
• Participate in technical meetings, prepare progress updates, and deliver briefs and presentations as needed.
