About The Position

The Network Engineer is responsible for the configuration, optimization, and maintenance of our organization's enterprise network infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring secure, reliable connectivity across local (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) while acting as a bridge between support and architecture teams.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Cisco ASA, and/or Juniper; strong command of VLANs, subnetting, and IPsec VPN tunnels.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to team members & non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • CCNA or CCNP (Enterprise/Security) preferred.
  • PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls to maintain secure access and traffic control policies.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers and switches (Catalyst/Nexus) to ensure seamless network operations.
  • Implement and monitor routing protocols including BGP and OSPF for efficient traffic routing and stable connectivity.
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to provide after-hours emergency support and resolve critical network incidents.
  • Isolate and resolve complex network connectivity and performance issues (latency, packet loss) across OSI Layers 1–4.
  • Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, and change control logs to support operational consistency.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, firmware updates, and scheduled hardware refreshes with minimal disruption.
  • Working directly with ISPs and hardware vendors to resolve circuit outages or manage RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations).
  • Implementing network segmentation and access control policies (like Cisco ISE) to align with cybersecurity standards.
  • Monitoring network health metrics to proactively identify and remediate bottlenecks before they impact end-users.
