About The Position

ASRC Federal System Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Network Engineer to support a prime program at the Naval Research Lab Blossom Point Tracking Facility in Welcome, Maryland. The role provides technical engineering across all phases of network design, development, operation, and management. The engineer will help integrate new missions into the facility’s network baseline, deliver and troubleshoot communications solutions, maintain network infrastructure and VoIP systems, and support network security and Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 2 years of relevant experience, or 7 years of experience in network engineering.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Current active Secret clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Cisco Network certifications are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering in all phases of network design, development, operation, and management.
• Assist with integrating new missions into the Blossom Point baseline by planning and executing communications solutions, resolving issues, and adding infrastructure capabilities.
• Work with project managers to define external communications requirements for new projects.
• Assist with designing, provisioning, configuring, activating, and testing external communication circuits.
• Configure and install firewalls, routers, and switches, primarily Cisco and Forcepoint equipment.
• Create and update communications diagrams, flow charts, and other documentation.
• Work with the Cyber Security team to ensure network security requirements are met and equipment is updated with security patches.
• Work with on-site System Administrators to integrate new equipment onto networks.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VoIP systems.
• Assist with RMF drawings and documentation.
