Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, or Cisco CCNA certification with at least 1 year of relevant hands-on experience
- Experience working with Cisco and/or Fortinet networking technologies
- Exposure to routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, or similar)
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques
- Basic understanding of network security concepts and best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues efficiently
Nice To Haves
- Cisco CCNA or working toward certification
- Fortinet certifications (NSE/FCF/FCA)
- Experience in a managed services or client-facing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience
Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Support network upgrades, installations, and changes with minimal disruption to operations
- Assist in implementing routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) to support network performance and stability
- Monitor network performance and identify issues impacting availability or performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve Layer 2/3 network issues across LAN/WAN environments
- Perform root cause analysis and support resolution of network outages and connectivity issues
- Utilize monitoring tools to maintain uptime and system health
- Support firewall and VPN configurations to maintain secure network environments
- Assist in applying security best practices and addressing vulnerabilities
- Participate in routine maintenance, patching, and system updates
- Maintain accurate documentation including configurations, diagrams, and procedures
- Work closely with internal teams (engineering, support, project teams) to support client environments
- Provide support and knowledge sharing with team members as needed
