About The Position

WOONGJIN, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructures, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Cisco technologies, routing protocols, F5 load balancing, and network security. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to mentor junior engineers, and a commitment to documentation and operational excellence. The role is based in Taylor, TX, with a requirement to commute to the office 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale, enterprise-class network operations (planning, design, implementation, support).
  • Focus on Cisco devices (Catalyst, Nexus), Firewalls, and Load Balancers.
  • CCNP Enterprise or CCIE certification (current or expired within the last 3 years).
  • Extensive experience with routing protocols and network technologies.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex network issues (hardware, L3/L2 problems, application connectivity, P2P VPN connections).
  • Experience with PIM, MSDP, Anycast-RP, and Multicast in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Network Monitoring Tools.
  • Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and responsibility for network documentation.
  • Passion for mentoring team members.
  • Must reside within a 1-hour drive of Taylor, TX.
  • Willing and able to commute to the office 5 days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting networks in large manufacturing environments, particularly within a 24/7 operational context.
  • Expertise in high availability network environments.
  • Strong background in server network connectivity (Teaming, VPC, LACP).
  • Experience with F5 Load Balancing setups, including iRules.
  • Experience with Packet Capture Analysis, SSL certificates.
  • F5 Load Balancers or Palo Alto Firewalls certification, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux and scripting in Python, Ansible, or other automation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Architect Enterprise Networks using Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
  • Manage Advanced Routing & Switching Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, EVPN).
  • Implement and Maintain F5 Load Balancing Solutions, including iRules scripting.
  • Troubleshoot Critical Network Issues (L2/L3 connectivity, hardware failures, VPN disruptions).
  • Secure Network Infrastructure using IPSec, 802.1x, TACACS+, and firewalls.
  • Support Multicast and Manufacturing-Specific Protocols (PIM, MSDP, Anycast-RP).
  • Lead Network Upgrades and Migrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ISPs, and vendors.
  • Document and Standardize Network Operations (diagrams, configurations, SOPs).
  • Mentor and Develop Team Talent.
