About The Position
Sentinel Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Engineer with CCNA level expertise in Routing and Switching. This is a high-impact role requiring deep technical knowledge, and strong customer engagement skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced enterprise environment and play a key role in supporting and optimizing complex network infrastructures. This is a full-time remote role with occasional on-site support at the Downers Grove, Illinois office.
Requirements
- CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on expertise.
- Experience in network engineering/support.
- Basic understanding of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, etc.).
- Familiarity with firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and F5 load balancers.
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues in production environments.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Must have a car.
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Demonstrate a “can-do” attitude.
- Display the "ACE" factor – Attitude, Compassion, and Enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
- Support and optimize complex network infrastructures.
- Troubleshoot network issues in production environments.
- Engage with customers to provide technical support.
- Travel between locations and transport equipment as needed.
