About The Position

Sentinel Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Engineer with CCNA level expertise in Routing and Switching. This is a high-impact role requiring deep technical knowledge, and strong customer engagement skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced enterprise environment and play a key role in supporting and optimizing complex network infrastructures. This is a full-time remote role with occasional on-site support at the Downers Grove, Illinois office.

Requirements

  • CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on expertise.
  • Experience in network engineering/support.
  • Basic understanding of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and F5 load balancers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network issues in production environments.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Must have a car.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrate a “can-do” attitude.
  • Display the "ACE" factor – Attitude, Compassion, and Enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

  • Support and optimize complex network infrastructures.
  • Troubleshoot network issues in production environments.
  • Engage with customers to provide technical support.
  • Travel between locations and transport equipment as needed.
