About The Position

AGE Solutions is hiring a senior-level Network Engineer to provide network engineering, implementation, modernization, and sustainment support for a Department of Defense customer’s global classified and unclassified WAN infrastructure. The role is responsible for secure, reliable connectivity between DoD facilities, networks, cloud environments, and mission-critical enterprise services. The position is onsite daily in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and may require travel of approximately 40% to CONUS or OCONUS locations for network installation or troubleshooting.

The engineer works with enterprise WAN routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure; supports DoD network connectivity; and performs advanced network configuration, troubleshooting, modernization, and cybersecurity compliance activities. The role also provides Tier III/IV support, supports circuit provisioning, and coordinates with Government and contractor WAN Management, NOC personnel, and engineering teams.

The position requires five years of progressive IT experience, including qualifying Network and Telecommunications Services and Network Management project experience; a high school diploma; U.S. citizenship; the specified DoD clearance and investigation eligibility; and IAT Level III and CCNP-E certifications. Preferred qualifications include Check Point, AWS, Azure, or CompTIA Cloud+ certifications. The projected salary is $140,000 or more annually, with final compensation based on relevant experience, clearance, certifications, technical skills, contract requirements, and qualifications.

Requirements

• Five years of progressive IT experience.
• Experience on at least two projects involving Network and Telecommunications Services and Network Management; at least one qualifying project must have occurred within the previous three years.
• High school diploma.
• U.S. citizenship.
• DoD Top Secret clearance or Secret clearance with a favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III baseline certification.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional – Enterprise (CCNP-E).
• Ability to work onsite daily in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
• Ability to travel up to approximately 40%, CONUS and OCONUS, as required.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to work in an office, comm closet, warehouse, and other environments associated with network deployment and sustainment.

Nice To Haves

• Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or higher certification; if not attained before hire, it must be attained after hire.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, install, test, and maintain enterprise WAN routers, switches, firewalls, and associated infrastructure.
• Support WAN connectivity across classified and unclassified networks and connectivity with DISN, NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and other DoD networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot advanced routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, multicast, QoS, and IPv4/IPv6.
• Engineer and maintain Cisco networking platforms and Check Point firewall technologies.
• Implement network technology refreshes, equipment replacements, and infrastructure modernization.
• Perform Tier III/IV troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and restoration of network services.
• Provide 24x7x365 on-call engineering support as required.
• Conduct site surveys, infrastructure assessments, installation planning, and implementation activities.
• Support DISA circuit provisioning, testing, activation, and troubleshooting.
• Develop Engineering Change Requests, implementation plans, test plans, rollback procedures, and network diagrams.
• Apply DISA STIGs, agency configuration standards, and cybersecurity requirements to network devices.
• Evaluate network capacity, utilization, performance, and potential reliability improvements.
• Support enterprise cloud connectivity, application delivery, and secure network integration.
• Conduct laboratory testing, technology evaluations, and interoperability validation.
• Provide technical support to Government and contractor WAN Management, NOC personnel, and other engineering teams.
• Travel to CONUS or OCONUS locations for network installation or troubleshooting as required.
