The Network Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating the various components of an enterprise network system. This role involves consulting with users and program management to assess information needs and define network solutions. The engineer will perform installation, maintenance, upgrades, testing, and support for network systems. Additionally, they will conduct research and development in network systems and related technologies, establish procedures for network system usage, and collaborate with other IT staff to ensure network compatibility with company objectives, applications, and security requirements. The position also includes assisting with the organization's security posture, coordinating policy implementation, writing documentation, developing hardware configuration plans, and reassessing network performance. The engineer will analyze and resolve network issues, monitor hardware maintenance, coordinate hardware and software acquisition, conduct network system audits, and manage vendor relationships. Developing and maintaining disaster recovery procedures for the network is also a key responsibility.
