About The Position

TJS Group (TJS) seeks to engage a cleared (TS) Network Engineer who supports the FBI at their Redstone Arsenal complex in Alabama focusing on providing technical engineering support for a highly complex, multi-enclave enterprise network infrastructure environment comprising various classification levels. The WORK Network engineering support includes all engineering activities required to support the standard information technology lifecycle. The ideal candidate will provide design and engineering activities in support of new network solutions for a multi-enclave enterprise network environment which encompasses various technology. In addition, the candidate will provide network support on an as needed basis to resolve networking issues that have not been resolved by the first three support tiers.

Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance — current and immediately verifiable (hard requirement; no exceptions)
Must be willing to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama.
Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and implementing network solutions
Extensive experience with Cisco routing platforms (ASR, ISR, Catalyst, Nexus)
In-depth knowledge of routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, GRE
In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 technologies: STP, MST, VLANs
Demonstrated Tier 3 troubleshooting and issue resolution experience
Experience with LAN/WAN design, traffic engineering, and complex network environments
Experience providing senior-level engineering support in a DoD or classified environment
Large enterprise environment experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher (CCNP strongly preferred)
Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community
Familiarity with DISA STIG compliance and TACLANE encryption devices
Highly self-motivated with strong attention to detail and disciplined troubleshooting methodology

Responsibilities

Gather user network requirements utilizing multiple methodologies to provide necessary technical documentation, system requirements documents, security requirements documents, and system test plans
Install, maintain, and evaluate network systems and communications systems
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues involving various protocols, topologies, and networking hardware
Conduct network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies
Utilize extensive knowledge of internetworking, routers, switches, firewalls, and peripherals to understand current designs and develop new network solutions.
Apply technical and business experience to improve processes and procedures for deploying and maintaining network infrastructure
Work independently and collaboratively to improve network solutions and contribute to network service improvements
Provide Tier 3 support and issue resolution for complex network problems not resolved by prior tiers
