Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Working knowledge of computer networking principles
Hands-on experience with network hardware and software (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar platforms)
Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF
Strong understanding of network security practices and tools
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of experience in computer networking
Two or more years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure
Confidential security clearance
Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments

Responsibilities

Work closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales phase.
Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN) and configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Troubleshoot network issues and outages and provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Implement security measures and ensure the network is protected against threats. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and service records.
Work with other IT staff to develop network architectures and solutions that meet business needs. Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Use network monitoring tools to optimize network performance and ensure the efficient operation of networks.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements in network engineering to continuously improve the network infrastructure.
