Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Working knowledge of computer networking principles
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware and software (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar platforms)
  • Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF
  • Strong understanding of network security practices and tools
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of experience in computer networking
  • Two or more years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure
  • Confidential security clearance
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales phase.
  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN) and configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Troubleshoot network issues and outages and provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  • Implement security measures and ensure the network is protected against threats. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and service records.
  • Work with other IT staff to develop network architectures and solutions that meet business needs. Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Use network monitoring tools to optimize network performance and ensure the efficient operation of networks.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements in network engineering to continuously improve the network infrastructure.
