About The Position

This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network solutions to meet business needs. The Network Engineer will play a key role in ensuring network security, providing technical leadership, and driving continuous improvement within the IT infrastructure. This position involves advanced troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and project management to maintain and enhance the organization's network capabilities.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise network architecture including WAN/LAN, data center, cloud networking, SD-WAN, and core infrastructure technologies.
  • Knowledge of network security principles including segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure connectivity, and disaster recovery/business continuity practices.
  • Ability to design, implement, and optimize complex network environments with focus on performance, scalability, QoS, and capacity planning.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose complex network issues, interpret performance data, and implement root-cause solutions.
  • Ability to lead technical initiatives, collaborate across IT/business teams, and effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to support operational governance including documentation, metrics/reporting, vendor evaluation, and long-term network strategy execution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of working experience in a management-level IT position within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy scalable and efficient network solutions to meet business needs.
  • Configure and install network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced staff in technical skills and best practices.
  • Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and contribute to team skill development.
  • Investigate and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot escalated problems from junior engineers, other IT teams, or end-users.
  • Analyze system logs, performance metrics, and other diagnostic tools for root cause analysis.
  • Monitor network performance using various diagnostic tools and address any issues promptly.
  • Troubleshoot network problems and implement solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Lead and manage IT projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and other departments for project execution.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet technical requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Update knowledge base articles and technical documentation.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to team members.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and innovation.
  • Implement solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Test and validate disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Participate in incident response and recovery efforts during network outages or emergencies.
