About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is actively seeking an experienced network engineering professional to support our Space business area located at Titusville, Florida. Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to designing, installing, configuring, securing, hardening, remediating, troubleshooting, testing, upgrading and decommissioning of network switches, routers and other network components. Coordinating with US Navy customer, fellow network engineers, program managers, information technology staff, information assurance staff, and program engineers are an essential part of the day-to-day responsibilities that ensures a successful synergy between program deliverables and the underlying classified network infrastructure. The selected candidate will be responsible for the ongoing operations, maintenance and continuous improvement of a program-dedicated wide area network (WAN). This network engineering professional will ensure that the Navy network and network systems are managed, controlled and compliant with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). If you are looking for a hands-on role with the flexibility to learn and apply a wide range of core technical capabilities, this position may be of interest to you. This is a non-telecommuting position that requires you to be on-site and may include travel, off-shift work and occasional weekend activities.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance AND requires at least an Interim Secret to start.
  • DoD Secret clearance to start with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or higher) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Experience with Cisco networking equipment, operating system functions, and security hardening
  • Ability to move, rack, stack and install physical equipment by lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • US Citizenship required, no dual Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Top Secret clearance
  • Experience with Cisco GETVPN
  • Experience working with and troubleshooting of IGP routing protocols such as OSPF or EIGRP
  • Experience working with L2 and L3 Multicast protocols
  • Experience with MPLS L2VPNs and SDWAN
  • Experience in applying DISA STIGs and resolving security vulnerabilities
  • Fundamental understanding of the OSI model
  • Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools
