Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience supporting and engineering enterprise, studio, or service-provider network environments operating in a 24x7x365 model.
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale WAN, LAN, and MAN environments, including troubleshooting, implementation, and operational support.
  • Working experience in multi-vendor network environments, such as Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, F5, or equivalent platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting high-availability network infrastructure in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of core networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, OSI model, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Working knowledge of routing and switching technologies, including BGP, IS-IS, STP, VXLAN, EVPN, and MPLS, within defined network domains.
  • Experience supporting network security technologies and best practices, including firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, and access controls.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and transport equipment.
  • Experience implementing and supporting monitoring, alerting, and telemetry for production network systems.
  • Exposure to public cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), including connectivity, routing, and hybrid integrations.
  • Working experience with virtualized and overlay network environments.
  • Experience using automation or configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent, to support operational efficiency.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex network issues under operational timelines.
  • Ability to produce and maintain clear technical documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Willingness to participate in after-hours, weekend, and on-call support rotations as required.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Certifications (JNCIA-Junos, JNCIA-MistAI, JNCIA-SEC, ACE-A, PCCSA, PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA, CCNP, BIG-IP, DDI Professional)

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, planning, and execution of complex network projects supporting enterprise and studio production environments.
  • Analyze evolving security threats, technologies, and industry trends, applying best practices within assigned network domains.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point within assigned network domains for Tier 1 and Tier 2 network support engineers.
  • Support teams responsible for building and operating core network infrastructure, collaborating to ensure reliable and high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to support automation initiatives, capacity planning, and network implementations.
  • Engineer, implement, and support scalable, high-performance, and highly available network infrastructure in accordance with established standards and architectures.
  • Create, maintain, and review high-quality technical documentation, including network diagrams, troubleshooting guides, root cause analyses, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure reliable operation of network systems by implementing monitoring, instrumentation, and management tools to detect, diagnose, and resolve abnormal network behavior.
  • Act as a technical liaison between network engineering and adjacent production engineering teams to support operational workflows and integrations.
  • Provide Tier 2 network support for Systems, Media, Storage, and Cloud Operations teams as required.
  • Interface with other Disney entities and external networks to support cross-segment workflows, file transport, and media asset sharing.
