Network Engineer Level 1

About The Position

GRVTY is seeking experienced Network Engineers to help deliver enhanced HPS capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. This role involves the physical installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices. The engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining various network technologies and ensuring the security and protection of network infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • Minimum three (3) years of demonstratable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection or five (5) years minimum experience in lieu of degree.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II level certification.
  • Datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks.
  • Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph clearance
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols.
  • Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols.
  • Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls.
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite.
  • Experience with Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC).
  • Experience with Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers.

Responsibilities

  • Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.
  • Support on-call requirements.
  • Work in a live call environment and utilize remedy and/or other ticketing system to track tasking.
