About The Position

Peraton requires Network Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. This position is located onsite in Ft. Bragg, NC. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

Requirements

  • A DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level is required.
  • BS + 2 years of experience OR MS + 0 years of experience OR HS with 6 years of experience OR AA with 4 years of experience
  • DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP) required AND CCNA
  • Detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software.
  • Must have extensive experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, as well as server and network infrastructure is required.

Responsibilities

  • Tests and analyzes elements of network facilities, including power, software, security features, communications devices, communications lines, modems, and terminals and is responsible for the overall integration of the enterprise network.
  • Planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the network.
  • Monitors and controls the performance and status of network resources by using software and hardware tools, as well as by identifying and diagnosing complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
  • Keeps technical skills updated and studies vendor products to determine those which best meet the Government’s needs.
  • Provides guidance and direction for junior network support technicians.
  • Provides comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services.
  • Interfaces with O&M personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed.
  • Comprehensively reviews existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required.
  • Establishes systems engineering with a focus on the end-to-end functionality of complex systems.
  • Performs disaster recovery and backup/restore.
  • Supports efforts for network cybersecurity technology, risks identification and risk mitigation strategies related to cybersecurity, and A&A support documentation in accordance with applicable DoD and IC directives.
  • Maintains LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems, advanced engineering, and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems.
  • Maintains network security infrastructure including but not limited to: Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Firepower, and ISE.
  • Maintains data center network infrastructure including but not limited to ACI.
  • Provides support with Wireless networking, Application delivery networking, Cloud computing, Mobile computing, End Point management, and desktop computing.
  • Provides Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) or other NSA Capabilities Package.
  • Engineers enterprise data, voice, and video networks.
  • Establishes and operates network test facilities.
  • Maintains a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks.
  • Works with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management.
  • Provides high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges, and routers.
  • Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission.
