About The Position

The TOC is a new team that is currently being built while implementing new tools to improve observability and monitoring of the enterprise environment. Responsible for the troubleshooting and maintenance of a large-scale enterprise networks focusing on break/fix incident management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in networking, computer science, information systems, or related technology field.
  • Associate's degree with two years of equivalent work experience may be substituted for education.
  • Three years experience or advanced certifications in networking.
  • Advanced knowledge of network routing and switching hardware, as well as network security equipment and best practices.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in the use of network management platforms and troubleshooting tools, such as protocol analyzers.
  • When applicable, may need a valid driver's license. If valid driver's license is required, must maintain a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Network certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple routing and switching protocols as a part of the Technical Operations Center (TOC).
  • Provide guidance to the technical support teams engaged in troubleshooting of hardware and software that support a wide range of systems.
  • Attend training, conferences, and seminars as needed to obtain specific hardware/software knowledge.
  • Understand a systems approach to problem solving and process improvement involving staff.
  • Plan, architect, and document enterprise class solutions for future network growth.
  • Possess a fundamental working knowledge of operating systems and software currently used throughout Sanford Health.
