About The Position

Under general direction, the Network Engineer will possess an in-depth understanding of networking hardware and software, and have hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching, Palo Alto firewalls, Load Balancers, Meraki Wireless, and Network Automation. The incumbent will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability. This role involves monitoring network performance, ensuring system availability and reliability, and tuning and optimizing the network as necessary. The Network Engineer will also conduct regular network performance tests, prepare reports on network performance and incident response, and troubleshoot network issues and outages, developing strategies to prevent them in the future. The position requires providing tactical design direction, making recommendations in developing solution roadmaps, and collaborating with solution architecture and solution delivery to build new products and improve existing ones. Operationalizing solutions through documentation, automation of common tasks, and maturing processes is also a key responsibility. The role will utilize network automation tools to streamline and enhance processes, secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access. Additionally, the Network Engineer will research and consult with resources and industry experts to ensure the effectiveness of provided solutions and extensively utilize knowledge of network infrastructure, routing and routed protocols, and standards, recommending solutions based upon analysis of network performance.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering or related field
Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a Network Services Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or Systems Administrator-related occupation
Three years of experience utilizing Cisco routers, wireless networking, and Identity Services Engines
Three years of experience utilizing Cisco and Aruba Switches
Three years of experience utilizing ASA and Palo Alto Firewalls
Three years of experience utilizing Meraki Wireless and Security Appliances, and load balancers
Three years of experience utilizing Python including HTTPS Requests and Netmiko
Three years of experience utilizing Public Cloud Design
Three years of experience deploying and managing SD-WAN
Three years of experience utilizing YAML, REST APIs, and Ansible in DevNet
Three years of experience utilizing Azure Networking and Security Concepts including AZ-700 certification, Enterprise applications and Conditional Access, VNet peering, Traffic Manager and Load Balancing, Azure firewall, and Route base VPN with BGP
Three years of experience utilizing Network monitoring tools including Solarwinds and ThousandEyes

Responsibilities
