Under general direction, the Network Engineer will possess an in-depth understanding of networking hardware and software, and have hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching, Palo Alto firewalls, Load Balancers, Meraki Wireless, and Network Automation. The incumbent will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability. This role involves monitoring network performance, ensuring system availability and reliability, and tuning and optimizing the network as necessary. The Network Engineer will also conduct regular network performance tests, prepare reports on network performance and incident response, and troubleshoot network issues and outages, developing strategies to prevent them in the future. The position requires providing tactical design direction, making recommendations in developing solution roadmaps, and collaborating with solution architecture and solution delivery to build new products and improve existing ones. Operationalizing solutions through documentation, automation of common tasks, and maturing processes is also a key responsibility. The role will utilize network automation tools to streamline and enhance processes, secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access. Additionally, the Network Engineer will research and consult with resources and industry experts to ensure the effectiveness of provided solutions and extensively utilize knowledge of network infrastructure, routing and routed protocols, and standards, recommending solutions based upon analysis of network performance.
