About The Position

Provides advanced, comprehensive technical services for the instructional and administrative programs of the school division. This role is crucial for implementing, and maintaining a modern, secure, and highly available technology infrastructure, including on-premise and cloud environments, local and wide area networks (both wired and wireless), servers, network security, and enterprise systems, ensuring reliable and secure operation for all staff, and students.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Significant, demonstrated progressive experience (e.g., 5-7 years) in implementing, and managing enterprise-level network and server infrastructure and project management, preferably K-12 or public sector
Experience with network technologies, including Cisco routing/switching, firewalls, network segmentation, and advanced wireless technologies
Proven expertise in server administration, including Microsoft Windows Server OS, Active Directory/Entra ID, virtualization (e.g., VMware ESXi), storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS), backup/DR solutions, and chromebook management
Experience administering and securing cloud services, specifically Google Workspace for Education and/or Microsoft Azure/M365 environments
Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain network security tools, data backup systems, and disaster recovery solutions
Proficiency in scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
Experience in a K-12 school setting and understanding of unique technology needs and challenges
Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
Possession of current, industry-recognized professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, Microsoft Azure Administrator) is highly desirable
Industry-relevant professional certifications preferred: CCNA/CCNP, Network+, Security+, CEH, CISSP , Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, Google Cloud, Google Admin Certified Administrator, or VMware VCP
