About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Network Engineer to join our team! In this role you will serve as a technical expert, leveraging comprehensive knowledge of securing enterprise-wide networks. This role supports a hybrid schedule, requiring 2 days onsite in Falls Church, VA

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or similar) with 6+ years of relevant experience
Active Secret Security Clearance
Network Visibility: Understanding network visibility such as NetFlow, SFlow, SNMP stats and the value and impact this can have on helping an organization achieve their business goals.
Network Automation: Understanding how to automate network operation to increase the administrative accuracy and efficiency of the customers networks.
Understanding EGPs and how they provide value to the customers networks to achieve enterprise wide or global reachability.
Security: Understanding how security controls come together to provide comprehensive security.
DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II requirements

Nice To Haves

Experience working in Linux environments (e.g., command-line usage, basic scripting, or system navigation)
Experience working with cyber asset management tools (e.g., Forescout)
Certification: CCNA or vendor equivalent within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

Install, configure and support an organization’s local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN)
Install, configure and support an organization’s Internet systems or a segment of a network system
Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
May monitor and test website performance issues to ensure websites operate correctly and without interruption
May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software
May supervise computer user support specialists and computer support network specialists
May administer network security measures
