  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR Relevant DoD/military training (example: Research & Development Specialist (Advanced) Playlist); OR Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: SecurityX/CASP+; RCCE Level 1; CEH; GCLD).
  • Network engineering/operations experience with at least 3 years in enterprise network design and sustainment roles.
  • Deep hands‑on expertise in routing/switching, WAN/LAN design, VPNs, firewall and load‑balancer configuration, and circuit provisioning.
  • Proven ability to perform network troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and JRSS/integration support.
  • Experience producing engineering designs, BOMs, site readiness assessments, and technical documentation for governance and audits.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring, configuration management, and automation/orchestration tools; strong scripting ability preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior DoD/ARNG/NETCOM experience supporting multi‑domain enterprise networks and fielding activities.
  • Experience with SD‑WAN, network automation/orchestration, and cloud connectivity patterns.
  • Familiarity with RMF/STIG application to network devices and support for accreditation evidence.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and sustain enterprise network infrastructure: routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and supporting services.
  • Execute WAN and LAN upgrades to optimize throughput, latency, reliability, and interoperability with legacy and future architectures.
  • Monitor network health (WAN links, devices, VPNs, JRSS integrations), detect incidents/performance degradations, and perform timely troubleshooting and restoration.
  • Manage end‑to‑end circuit lifecycle: provisioning, maintenance, testing, and disconnects in alignment with ARNG G6 standards.
  • Prepare network design, engineering, and security plans that align with enterprise architecture and support secure, scalable operations.
  • Assess site readiness for hardware deployments: connectivity, capacity, and environmental constraints; coordinate fielding activities.
  • Collaborate with architects and operations teams to recommend network/infrastructure components and integration approaches.
