About The Position

As a network engineer on our team, you’ll help the U.S. Army build and maintain a reliable network to support critical training missions. You’ll work with soldiers, other SMEs, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape network requirements. You’ll then plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you’ll put your hardware and software talents to good use. Requirements

HS diploma or GED
Security+, CCNP, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP Certification
Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience administering accounts, creating organizational units, mapping users and computers, and assisting with creating or managing group policies within Active Directory.
Experience configuring, managing, and maintaining virtual servers, networks, and connected clients using VMware vSphere.
Experience using and configuring Cisco switches.
Experience with set up, networking, troubleshooting, and use of Army Mission Command Information Systems.
Experience with set up, networking, and troubleshooting of Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC).

Responsibilities

Researching and recommending network and server hardware and software for large complex networks.
Developing, maintaining, and implementing network support and archiving procedures.
Installing, designing, configuring, and maintaining system hardware and software.
Implementing and managing network policies, procedures, and standards, and enforcing security procedures.
Monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating hardware, software, and network problems.
Meeting with clients to plan, analyze, design, and test computer applications to ensure computer software and applications adhere to the organizational plan.
