About The Position

The ICS Network Engineer Level III is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining network devices, systems and applications within the ICS environment. They will also be tasked to configure and deploy both hardware and software applications and solutions, as well as provide support to end users. This will require broad knowledge of many IT fundamentals, ranging from Cisco routing and switching to Windows Server support and virtualization. Incumbent must be self- motivated, and actively engaged in ensuring the reliability and functionality of the ICS system.

Requirements

Master’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of related experience or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of related experience or Associate’s degree in a related field and at least 8 years of related experience or in lieu of a degree at least 11 years of equivalent related experience.
At least 1 DoD approved Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification
Possess broad experience across multiple aspects of the IT environment with a willingness to learn more.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain good working relations.
Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely solutions.
S. Citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance.
Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-hire background and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

IAT Level III Certification
Demonstrated experience in SCADA and Industrial Controls environments.
Experience with troubleshooting industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP, Ion).
Experience with Microsoft SQL installations.
Experience with POE cameras and recording systems.
Experience with Endpoint Management applications (System Center Configuration Manager).
Experience with Solarwinds.
Experience with creating and deploying group policies.

Responsibilities

Investigate and plan new deployments for various ICS related assets (cameras, workstations, etc.).
Troubleshoot and diagnose application issues in Windows 10/11, Windows Server and Linux environments, and escalate if needed.
Troubleshoot and diagnose network communication issues and perform corrections as needed.
Racking and cabling networking equipment.
Routine software maintenance (backups, SQL trimming, etc.)
Support the integrity of the System Security Plan (SSP), creating Corrective Action Plans for issues identified and all supporting processes.
Maintain support accounts in relationship to the contract and SSP for patches, upgrades, troubleshooting and escalation.
Support the stability and integrity of the ICS environment.
Record and update documentation for assets in the ICS environment.
Assist end users with application use and installation/configuration.
