About The Position

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Entarian is seeking an experienced Network Engineer - LAN for MOC sites to design, implement, automate, and maintain LAN infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications and enterprise capabilities. The Network Engineer is responsible for building and sustaining environments across AWS GovCloud, hybrid infrastructure, and containerized platforms while enabling devices to communicate, share resources, access the Internet, and be centrally managed. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure. This role ensures reliable network performance, security, and availability for end users across all connected systems.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred depending on program requirements).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related technical discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with LAN technologies, TCP/IP networking, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and switching
  • Experience with network devices from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, HP, Juniper)
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools and network diagnostics
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power-Point, Excel, Project, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to support customer locations, deployments, and technical activities.

  • Relevant certifications (preferred): CCNA, Network+, or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain LAN hardware and software, including switches, routers, cabling, and related network components
  • Perform routine network monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system uptime
  • Manage network security protocols, including access controls, firewalls, patching, and vulnerability remediation
  • Support end users by diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues and providing technical guidance
  • Maintain detailed network documentation such as architecture diagrams, configurations, and inventory
  • Implement upgrades, enhancements, and new technologies to improve network reliability and efficiency
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration between LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud systems
  • Conduct regular backup, recovery, and disaster preparedness activities related to network resources
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in technical reviews, operational readiness assessments, incident response activities, and continuous improvement efforts
