About The Position

Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for an Network Engineer II to support our contract at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) GSP TO7 in ATAMMC, Fort Belvoir, VA. The Network Engineer III designs, tests, upgrades, and integrates complex LAN, WLAN, WAN, and VoIP networks in support of ATAMMC operations. This role operates with significant autonomy and co-leads Network Operations. Contract Support Hours: Monday-Friday, 0600-1800.

Requirements

  • 6+ Years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency in network engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise LAN, WLAN, WAN, and VoIP networks.
  • Experience with VLAN management, network security, and DISA STIG compliance.
  • Experience co-leading or supervising network engineering staff.
  • Experience evaluating emerging network technologies and making product selection recommendations.
  • A Current IAT III Certification is required to Start.
  • Must have or be able obtain a Secret Clearance which is required to Start.
  • All personnel must obtain favorable suitability adjudication prior to commencement of duties.
  • This role requires an active Secret Security Clearance, customer approval, and successful completion of a pre-employment background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, upgrade, and integrate complex information networks, including LAN, WLAN, WAN, and VoIP, to meet business requirements.
  • Document all phases of the engineering process, from build and configuration to testing and deployment.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures, perform network modeling, and analyze future needs.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting assistance to network engineers and manage vendor engagements for complex issues.
  • Evaluate emerging network technologies and provide recommendations for product selection.
  • Operate with significant autonomy to develop methodologies and present solutions to complex problems.
  • Coordinate all network changes with administrators and stakeholders.
  • Assist as a co-lead for Network Operations, providing supervision and guidance to network resources.
  • Install, relocate, configure, test, patch, and upgrade all network devices.
  • Manage VLANs, network accounts, password management, and configuration management.
  • Operate and maintain all VoIP components in strict compliance with DoD instructions and DISA STIGs.
  • Participate in On-Call/Call-Back rotation for Engineering Services.
