Network Engineer III
About The Position
Design, implement, and sustain enterprise network solutions across LAN/WAN and data center environments in direct support of AFSCI mission systems and intelligence operations Perform advanced troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root cause analysis to rapidly resolve network outages and performance degradations impacting mission execution Ensure high availability, resiliency, and redundancy of core network services to support continuous ISR and mission-critical communications Lead network architecture planning, engineering, and modernization initiatives aligned with Air Force enterprise standards and evolving mission requirements Configure, harden, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancing solutions within classified and unclassified environments Support cybersecurity initiatives by ensuring compliance with DoD and Air Force security frameworks (e.g., RMF, STIGs, Zero Trust principles) Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, cybersecurity, and application owners to enable secure, reliable, and scalable mission capabilities Develop, maintain, and enforce network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in accordance with contract and mission requirements Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers, strengthening team capability and mission readiness
