About The Position

The Network Engineer II is responsible for deploying, configuring, managing, and optimizing networking equipment and protocols such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. This role involves supporting business services and applications used by Station Casinos by managing data and voice networking infrastructure. The engineer will consult with other engineers to understand operating procedures and design objectives, formulate plans using industry standard techniques, and address network performance and availability issues cost-effectively. The position also requires participation in a product team to operate, optimize, and support networks in a production environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Stakeholders, Team Members and Leadership in both written and verbal form.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment with demonstrable expertise in at least three of the platforms in common use at Station Casinos preferred.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting telecommunications applications and other support applications in customer service orientated environment.
  • General understanding of the operation and configuration of at least three additional platforms in use at Station Casinos.

  • Deploy, configure, manage, and optimize data and voice networking infrastructure to support business services and applications used by Station Casinos.
  • Consult with other Engineers to identify current operating procedures and clarify design and implementation objectives.
  • Formulate plans using industry standard techniques to outline tasks required to deliver on defined requirements.
  • Address and resolve network performance and availability issues in a cost-effective and timely fashion.
  • Participate with other members of a product team to operate, optimize, and support networks in a production environment.
