About The Position

The Network Engineer II serves as the technical lead for Caritas Family Solutions' enterprise network infrastructure, supporting more than 500 users across 18 locations, including office and residential facilities. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing network architecture while providing technical leadership, infrastructure strategy, and advanced support for organizational systems and services.

Requirements

Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Knowledge of hardware, software, processors, circuit boards, programming, and information systems.
Knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and technologies related to infrastructure design and service delivery.
Knowledge of transmission, switching, broadcasting, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
Knowledge of communication, media production, and information dissemination techniques through written, oral, and visual channels.
Five or more years of experience in computer systems, network administration, infrastructure management, or related IT functions.
Network+ certification.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, contracts, and legal documents.
Ability to effectively respond to inquiries from customers, leadership, regulatory agencies, and business partners.
Strong active listening, communication, critical thinking, and writing skills.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly, understand complex information, and communicate technical concepts effectively while maintaining professional English language proficiency.
Ability to collaborate across departments, provide instruction and technical guidance, resolve conflicts, influence outcomes, and maintain strong customer service relationships.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Database Management Software, Social Media Platforms, Networking Hardware and Software.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize network architectures aligned with organizational strategy.
Develop scripts and programs to support data and system integrations.
Apply cybersecurity and information security best practices.
Develop and execute infrastructure management and maintenance strategies.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to junior IT staff.
Participate in IT strategic planning, budgeting, and technology initiatives.
Monitor network and system performance, availability, and reliability.
Maintain accurate documentation and inventory of technology infrastructure.
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace failed network and system components.
Coordinate and execute maintenance activities using established change management procedures.
Ensure compliance with IT service management (ITSM) and network security standards.
Provide after-hours support as necessary.
Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning efforts.
