About The Position

The Network Engineer II is an intermediate technical expert responsible for complex troubleshooting, leading smaller network projects, and acting as a high-level escalation point for NOC teams. This role requires the ability to independently diagnose and resolve chronic performance issues, validate solution designs, and drive the execution of significant network changes.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible for and able to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience as a Network Engineer or senior technical specialist.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL v4 Foundation and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Independently diagnose and resolve critical and chronic network performance issues across global LAN/WAN/Security infrastructure using advanced diagnostic techniques.
  • Lead and execute medium-scale network projects, including site turn-ups, technology migrations, and major firmware upgrades.
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for Tier 1 Engineers and NOC Analysts, providing expert guidance and technical mentoring.
  • Collaborate with Tier 3 Engineers to review and validate low-level design specifications, ensuring feasibility and adherence to operational standards.
  • Implement and maintain network security policies, including firewall rules, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
