About The Position

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, focusing on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. This involves rethinking every layer of the stack, from acquiring power to operating data centers. The company hires individuals who are deeply committed to this mission and operate with extreme ownership, velocity, first principles, and a passion for the problem space. The Network Team is responsible for building the networks that power AI training, including fabrics for large accelerator clusters, backbones between campuses, and ensuring rapid site network deployment through automation. This role specifically focuses on owning external connectivity, planning backbone capacity, negotiating with carriers, and defining the connectivity roadmap.

Requirements

  • Engineered carrier and long-haul connectivity at scale.
  • Procured dark fiber and lit services and know where the contracts hide risk.
  • Plan capacity with data and buy ahead of need.
  • Hold carriers to SLAs with escalation paths you built yourself.

Responsibilities

  • Own external connectivity: carriers, dark fiber, internet exchanges, and cloud interconnects across the fleet.
  • Plan backbone capacity between sites years ahead of the traffic that will fill it.
  • Negotiate technical terms with carriers and fiber providers alongside sourcing.
  • Own the connectivity roadmap: diversity, latency, and cost engineered deliberately.
