About The Position

This position is for a Network Engineer (CCNP) with experience in Cisco ASA/Firepower, Nexus, and Genetec Security Center. The role is located in Harrisburg, PA (PennDOT) and is a 3-month contract. The engineer will be responsible for network routing and switching, and will utilize various IT hardware devices. The job involves planning and assigning work, assessing issues, and making decisions for resolution. Occasional travel and overnight stays are required.

Requirements

• Network Routing Required 4 Years
• Network Switching Required 4 Years
• Cisco ASA/Firepower Required 3 Years

Responsibilities

• Operates a personal computer and other IT hardware devices.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to write clearly and concisely.
• Ability to provide customer service and business operations support.
• Ability to develop project documentation and procedures for to sustain application support.
• Organize and manage multiple concurrent activities.
• Ability to assess issues/problems and make appropriate decisions for resolution.
• Maintain a knowledge base of the concepts and capabilities of IT hardware and software resources.
• Develop/maintain staff proficiency in technology focus areas.
• Occasional travel to perform duties.
