About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for monitoring and reviewing all network devices for security vulnerabilities, proper patch management, virus and spyware prevention and other duties as necessary to keep our customer information safe and secure. All employees have the responsibility and the accountability to serve as risk managers for their businesses by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing and monitoring the risk they encounter daily as required by F.N.B. Corporation’s risk management program. Compliance with regulatory laws and company procedures is a required component of all position descriptions.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 3 years of experience
  • Excellent management skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software
  • MS Word - Intermediate Level
  • MS Excel - Intermediate Level
  • MS PowerPoint - Intermediate Level
  • Specialized training in Network security programs and ability to use related network software and security programs.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses networks for vulnerabilities keeping operating systems current and personal computers locked down.
  • Reviews all security patches for proper levels.
  • Reviews network event logs for unexpected activities and non-corporation hardware.
  • Checks for virus and spy-ware outbreaks and makes sure all personal computers and servers have the latest protection.
  • Monitors and maintains server and personal computer administrator user ids and passwords and ensures passwords are strong and changed as staff turns over.
  • Keeps up-to-date laptop and personal digital assistant (PDA) inventories and periodically reviews them to ensure most current patch levels and virus signatures are being used.
  • Coordinates yearly modem inventory keeping these at a minimum.
  • Reviews internal internet usage and provides written reports of internet abuse.
  • Assists in risk assessment testing and penetration testing and scheduling.
  • Monitors intrusion detection and firewall logs.
  • Recommends changes to security programs and policies as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
