About The Position

The Network Director of Operations is a senior network leader responsible for the strategy, management, and day-to-day execution of school operations and student enrollment across Prodeo Academy’s network of public charter schools. The Network Director of Operations leads the people, systems, and day-to-day work required to deliver strong outcomes across school operations and enrollment. This leader directly manages and develops campus Directors of Operations and enrollment team members, translates organizational priorities into practical systems, establishes clear accountability, and ensures both campuses have the leadership and support needed to execute effectively. The role partners closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Director of Data and Assessment, Marketing and Communications Manager, School Leaders, and other members of the Network Support Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least six years of relevant professional experience, including at least two years in a formal leadership or management role.
  • Deep belief in Prodeo Academy’s mission and the role that excellent operations and enrollment play in scholar achievement and organizational sustainability.
  • Demonstrated success managing and developing people.
  • Experience in school operations, enrollment, education, or a similarly complex and service-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build systems, lead complex projects, establish accountability, analyze data, and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to lead through influence across varied internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and remain calm during urgent or difficult situations.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity, changing work priorities and deadlines, and a willingness to take on responsibilities and to prioritize work on multiple projects;
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multiple constituencies including parents, staff and students;
  • Team-player attitude and strong customer-service orientation;

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing or coaching leaders is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with enrollment, customer-relationship management, student-information, project-management, or related data systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of school safety, emergency preparedness, transportation, facilities, compliance, or other major school operations functions is preferred.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage, coach, and develop the Directors of Operations at each campus and members of the Enrollment Team.
  • Set clear goals, performance expectations, key performance indicators, and progress-monitoring routines for direct reports and their teams.
  • Lead effective check-ins, performance reviews, professional development, accountability conversations, and cross-campus operations meetings.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, retention, and succession planning for operations and enrollment positions.
  • Build the capacity of leaders to solve problems independently, strengthen their teams, and create solutions that can be implemented across Prodeo.
  • Partner with other Network Leaders to represent school operations and enrollment in organizational strategy and planning and ensure seamless collaboration with other functional areas.
  • Lead the day-to-day execution of Prodeo’s network enrollment strategy in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Manage the full operational enrollment cycle, including lead management, prospective-family follow-up, applications, registration, records collection, first-day attendance, retention, and midyear enrollment.
  • Translate network enrollment targets into clear campus, grade-level, team, and individual goals, and establish regular routines for monitoring progress.
  • Ensure HubSpot, SchoolMint, PowerSchool, the Enrollment Dashboard, and related tools provide accurate, current, and actionable information.
  • Integrate Directors of Operations and campus teams into enrollment and retention work so families experience timely, coordinated, and culturally responsive support.
  • Lead beginning-of-year attendance recovery efforts, including family outreach, daily huddles, ownership of unresolved cases, withdrawal follow-up, and coordination across enrollment, operations, data, and academic teams.
  • Partner with the Chief Operating Officer and school leaders on the strategy that guides grade-level capacity, waitlists, recruitment priorities, midyear backfill, and other enrollment decisions.
  • Develop and execute a network-wide school operations strategy aligned with Prodeo’s mission, strategic priorities, enrollment goals, and growth plans.
  • Establish clear roles, operating expectations, decision-making authority, and accountability across network and campus operations.
  • Hold Directors of Operations accountable for strong daily execution across day-to-day operations, school safety, facilities, transportation, food service, technology, health-office operations, reception, student records, family-facing services, and school events.
  • Lead operational readiness for the opening of each school year and other major school moments, ensuring both campuses are prepared to serve staff, scholars, and families.
  • Own and continuously improve Prodeo’s Operations Playbook, including recurring timelines, standard operating procedures, checklists, templates, and ownership assignments.
  • Identify root causes of operational challenges, build solutions that prevent recurrence, and strengthen consistency while accounting for meaningful differences between campuses.
  • Manage relationships with major vendors, including procurement, oversight, accountability, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as Prodeo’s day-to-day network leader for school safety and emergency preparedness in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Maintain and strengthen Prodeo’s Emergency Operations Plan, Standard Response Protocol procedures, Raptor Alert system, Raptor visitor management system, reunification planning, and emergency communication practices.
  • Ensure required emergency drills, staff training, documentation, and after-action reviews are completed with fidelity across both campuses.
  • Oversee operational responses to safety tips, personal safety concerns, and other incidents requiring coordination among operations, principals, social workers, public agencies, or executive leadership.
  • Develop meaningful operational and enrollment measures, communicate progress and risks, and use data and direct observation to guide continuous improvement.
  • Ensure safety and supervision of students at all times.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance, which is an essential function of the role.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the school and organization.
