About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Network Consultant to design, assess, and optimise network infrastructure for performance, security, and scalability. This role involves advising on network architecture, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. The ideal candidate has deep networking expertise, strong consulting skills, and experience working across diverse environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5–10+ years of experience in networking or network consulting roles
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with enterprise networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Nice To Haves

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent
• Experience with SD-WAN, network automation, or virtualization
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards
• Experience working in consulting or client-facing roles

Responsibilities

• Assess existing network infrastructure and recommend improvements
• Design and implement LAN/WAN, cloud, and hybrid network solutions
• Optimise network performance, availability, and scalability
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• Advise on network security strategies and best practices
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions
• Conduct network audits, risk assessments, and performance evaluations
• Document network designs, configurations, and procedures
• Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and trends
