Network Automation Engineer

ISPA TechnologyPanama City Beach, FL
Onsite

About The Position

ISPA Technology is looking for a Network Automation Engineer to support a technically diverse environment spanning firewalls, NSX-T, packet transport, switching, IP address management, blueprint management, and network monitoring. This role is for the engineer who sees network infrastructure not as a collection of one-off devices, but as a system that should be automated, observable, repeatable, and intentionally designed. You will help create maintainable automation patterns for network configuration, deployment, sustainment, and change control—especially through Ansible and Git-centered workflows.

Requirements

  • Experience with network engineering in enterprise, data center, or mission-support environments.
  • Hands-on automation experience using Ansible or equivalent tooling for network configuration and sustainment.
  • Strong understanding of switching, routing, firewall, or overlay networking concepts.
  • Experience using version control for infrastructure or network change management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot across device configuration, connectivity, and automation workflow issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NSX-T, IPAM, blueprint-driven infrastructure, or network monitoring platforms.
  • Exposure to secure hardening standards and compliance-aware network operations.
  • Familiarity with platform or cloud-adjacent network integration patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Automate network provisioning, configuration updates, compliance checks, and sustainment tasks across switching, firewall, and transport environments.
  • Use Ansible and Git-based workflows to standardize network changes and reduce configuration drift.
  • Support operational engineering across NSX-T, switching infrastructure, IPAM processes, and network management / monitoring toolchains.
  • Partner with systems and cyber teams to implement secure, supportable network baselines and recoverable change processes.
  • Build documentation and reusable engineering patterns for deployment, configuration validation, rollback, and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to blueprint management and operational planning for evolving network services.

Benefits

  • Work on meaningful defense and mission-support engineering problems with experienced technical teams.
  • Contribute across automation, cyber, platforms, networking, integration, and test—not just one narrow lane.
  • Join a culture that values ownership, technical depth, curiosity, and practical execution.
  • Live and work in Panama City Beach, Florida, with direct access to a growing technical mission hub.
