About The Position

DMI, LLC is seeking a Lead Network Architect to join us. This role involves designing and overseeing the implementation of enterprise-level network architecture to support mission-critical government systems. The architect will define network standards, roadmaps, and modernization strategies aligned with federal security and performance requirements. They will lead cross-functional technical teams in network engineering efforts, including SD-WAN, IPv6, cloud connectivity, and zero-trust frameworks. Collaboration with cybersecurity teams to integrate secure network design principles is essential. The role also includes evaluating emerging technologies, providing recommendations to leadership, ensuring compliance with DHS, NIST, and FISMA guidelines, and serving as a technical authority in vendor management, solution evaluations, and major incident response. The architect will be responsible for producing and maintaining architecture diagrams, design documentation, and executive briefings.

Requirements

  • BS 10-12 years of experience, MS 8-10 years of experience, or Phd 5-7 years of experience.
  • CCNP or CCIE certification strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, and QoS policies.
  • 10+ years in enterprise network engineering and architecture.
  • Proficiency in Visio, Cisco DNA, NetScout, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting DHS or CBP highly desired.
  • Familiarity with FISMA, TIC 3.0, and Zero Trust architecture models.
  • Must successfully pass a fingerprint-based background investigation.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
