About The Position

TEKsystems has a client that is looking to bring on a Network Architect/Network Lead to join their team. They want to find a candidate that has a wealth of experience with Network Design, Implementation, and experience in evaluating the overall network environment. The primary responsibilities for this role will be to own network capabilities, architecture, engineering, and operations. They are looking to find someone that is up for evaluating their current technical stack & products, make recommendations, and help build a roadmap to implementing changes where it makes sense. The organization as a whole is incredibly customer centric and has high standards, he'd like to ensure someone has that same mentality and can bring that to the table. This role will be very empowering to make decisions and provide ownership over the networking environment to modify and improve things as they see fit. Additionally - they will be tasked with working amongst the IT group as a whole as needed.

Requirements

Network engineering experience.
Firewall experience.
Router experience.
Switches experience.
Troubleshooting experience.
Wireless experience.
CCNA certification.
Network design experience.
Experience building and designing network architecture and implementing.
Excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Fortinet hardware (firewalls and switches).
Experience with Active Directory.
Experience with Windows Server.
Experience with Linux server.
Experience with storage solutions.
Experience with backup solutions.
Good leadership experience, ability to work well with more junior & mid level IT team members.

Responsibilities

Own network capabilities, architecture, engineering, and operations.
Evaluate current technical stack & products.
Make recommendations for network improvements.
Build a roadmap for implementing network changes.
Work amongst the IT group as a whole as needed.
Build out project plans and technology implementation roadmaps.
Work with the business and leadership to make changes, improve service, and drive efficiencies within the network environment.
Help maintain a good culture within the IT group.
