About The Position

Trident Consulting is seeking a Network Architect for a client. This remote, one-year W2 contract assignment may be extended. The role is described as an experienced Network Data & Security SME position leading the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network and security infrastructure in large-scale global environments. Core areas include Cisco Routing & Switching, Cisco Client, Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, and Zscaler. The position involves network design and operational leadership, incident response, and collaboration with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Cisco Routing & Switching, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, and HSRP.
• Expertise in Cisco Client technologies, including 802.1X, NAC, TACACS+, device profiling, and guest access.
• Expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls, including NGFW, VPN, GlobalProtect, NAT, security policies, and threat prevention.
• Experience with F5 Load Balancers and supporting large-scale, global environments.
• Proven experience in enterprise and data center networking.
• Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network and security infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security incidents.
• Perform network design, architecture, upgrades, migrations, and optimization.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and Application teams.
• Lead root cause analysis, change management, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Drive critical network transformation and security initiatives.
