This position is responsible for planning, designing, and configuring LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks. The Network Architect will ensure network architecture meets organizational security and performance requirements. This role involves monitoring network performance using tools and dashboards, maintaining network documentation (topology diagrams, IP address schemes, configurations), and diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues. The architect will provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for escalated network problems, collaborate with helpdesk and system administrators for cross-functional issues, and analyze network traffic and usage trends. Additionally, the role includes recommending upgrades or changes to improve performance and scalability, planning for future growth and emerging technologies, and developing and maintaining network disaster recovery plans. Ensuring redundancy and failover mechanisms are in place, maintaining accurate records of network configurations and changes, and preparing reports on network health, incidents, and performance metrics are also key responsibilities.
